Schema markup generator: JSON-LD without the guesswork.

Pick a type, fill in the facts, and copy a JSON-LD block you can paste into your page.

Schema type

<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "Product"
}
</script>

Paste the code inside the page's <head> or <body>. On Shopify, most themes already add Product schema to product pages, so check first to avoid a duplicate.

What it does

The generator builds JSON-LD for six schema types: Product (with an Offer for price, currency and availability, plus brand, SKU and image), Organization, LocalBusiness, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList and Article.

Empty fields are left out, so the code holds only what you entered. A rating is added to Product only when you enter a real average between 1 and 5 and a whole number of reviews.

"Prefill from my page" reads the name, description, image and logo from a page you enter, and the price on product pages that state it in their tags. Check every value before you use it.

Why it matters

Schema states facts as facts: this is a product, it costs this much, it is in stock, this business is at this address. Search engines use it for rich results, and AI shopping answers are more reliable when they do not have to guess these facts from page text.

Google's guidelines require schema to match what visitors see on the page. Markup that claims reviews or prices the page does not show can lose rich results.

How to use the result

  • Paste the code into the page's HTML, inside the head or the body.
  • On Shopify, check first: most themes already add Product schema to product pages. Add Organization once, in the theme layout.
  • Test the live page in our schema checker, then in Google's Rich Results Test.
  • Keep values in step with the page. When a price changes, the schema has to change too.

Questions

What is schema markup?

Structured data, written in the schema.org vocabulary, that tells search engines what a page is about in a format machines read without guessing.

Why JSON-LD?

It sits in one script block, separate from your visible HTML, so it is easier to add and maintain than microdata.

Does schema guarantee rich results?

No. Valid schema makes a page eligible. Google decides whether to show a rich result.

Can I add star ratings to any product?

Only when the page shows real reviews from customers. The rating in the schema has to match the reviews visitors can see.

Should FAQ answers also be on the page?

Yes. The questions and answers in FAQPage markup should appear as visible text on the same page.
