Free tool · Meta tag checker
Six tags that decide how a page shows up.
Enter a page address. We check the title, the meta description, the H1, the Open Graph tags, the canonical and the page language, and say plainly what to fix.
What it checks
- Title: present, and between 30 and 60 characters.
- Meta description: present, and between 70 and 160 characters.
- H1: exactly one.
- Open Graph: og:title, og:description and og:image.
- Canonical: a canonical link tag.
- Language: a lang attribute on the html tag.
Why it matters
The title and description are what people see in search results before they decide to click. The H1 tells search engines and AI what the page is about. Open Graph decides how the link looks on WhatsApp, Facebook and LinkedIn. The canonical stops duplicate addresses from splitting your signals, and the language tag tells engines which audience the page is for.
How to fix it
- Write a title that leads with what the page offers and ends with your brand.
- Write a description that answers "why click": the product, the benefit, one detail.
- Keep one H1 per page. Themes often turn the logo or a banner into a second H1.
- Set the social sharing image and text in your platform's SEO or social settings.
- Run the check on a product page, a collection page and the home page; templates repeat the same issue across hundreds of pages.
