Free tool · Hashtag generator
Hashtag generator: a short set that fits the post.
Describe your post or paste its caption, pick the platform, and get hashtags grouped by how specific they are, with a ready set to copy.
What it does
You describe the post, and if you want, add your niche and location. The hashtag generator returns three groups:
- Niche: tags specific to the product, the style or the buyer.
- Community: tags a particular group or local audience follows. Location tags land here.
- Broad: wide category tags. Use one at most.
On top you get a set to post: 3 tags for Instagram, 3 to 5 for TikTok, 1 to 3 for LinkedIn and X, mostly niche. One click copies it.
We group tags by how specific they are, not by popularity, because we do not have live post counts.
Why it matters
Hashtags help a platform understand what a post is about and who might want it. A few accurate tags do that better than a long list of popular ones, where your post is one of millions and the people who see it are not looking for what you sell.
Skip engagement bait like #followforfollow, #like4like and #f4f, and any tag that has nothing to do with the post. They pull in accounts that will never buy, and platforms can limit the reach of posts that use them.
How to use the result
- Start with the set to post. Swap in a tag from the niche group if one fits better.
- Open each tag in the app before you use it. Recent posts should look like yours.
- Keep a short list of tags that bring the right people, and rotate them across posts.
- For a platform-specific version, use the Instagram hashtag generator or the TikTok hashtag generator.
Questions
How many hashtags should I use?
Fewer than most people think. On Instagram, keep it to about 3: Instagram's @creators account advised 3 to 5 in 2021, and creators reported tighter limits in late 2025. On TikTok, a few that describe the video work well. On LinkedIn and X, 1 to 3 keeps the post readable.
Do hashtags still help reach?
They help a platform sort a post, but they are not the main driver of reach on their own. The post itself, and whether people watch, save and share it, matter more.
Why do you not show how popular each hashtag is?
We do not have live post counts, and made-up numbers would mislead you. Open a tag in the app to see how active it is right now.
Which hashtags should I avoid?
Engagement bait like #followforfollow, #like4like and #f4f, tags unrelated to the post, and any tag whose page shows a warning or no recent posts.
Is the hashtag generator free?
Yes. No sign-up, 10 runs a day from one connection.
